What is EloGrade?
EloGrade is an objective rating for photographs and photographers.
EloGrade aims to become an authoritative rating system by bringing consistency and meaningful distance to photo ratings.
How do I use EloGrade?
It's simple! You compare other users' photos and other users compare your photos. To get started, click on the 'Submit a Photo' button.
How is my photo graded?
Photos are not directly rated, instead users compare pairs of photos.
The comparison results are then processed through an Elo Rating System. This entire process allows the calculation of objective ratings on subjective qualities.
How can EloGrade possibly be objective?
An EloGrade rating is actually a number that tries to stastistically predict future outcomes.
For instance, a photo with a 1600 rating has a 64% probability that a random person in the future would prefer it over a photo with a 1500 rating,
and a 96% probability that a random person in the future would prefer it over a photo with 1100 rating. While each individual preference is subjective, the prediction is objective.
